How to WASH YOUR SHEEP'S FLEECE

Start with the cleanest wool you can find. Still go through the fleece and pick out anything that is still in there.Some times just shake it out.

Equipment needed:

mesh Laundry wash bags

Power Scour 

wash tub


Put your fleece in a mesh laundry wash bag

Soak with hot water

Next Step!
Fill your wash tub with  hot water and dissolve the  Power Scour
Third Step!
Submerge your bagged fleece , and allow to soak for 15 minutes

spin cycle the water from the wool.

if your washer doesn't have a spin only cycle use a salad spinner.


Air dry

Air dry

For the second wash (and third wash if necessary) repeat first step
Two rinses are usually enough.


 Dry the wool on a mesh-type surface which allows air circulation.

It is important NOT to agitate or abruptly change the temperature of wet wool. If either occurs, the wool will become felted (matted) and will be impossible to process further.
